Cookie policy

Current as of 27 Aug 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Polysurance Limited (“we,” “our,” or “us”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website (www.rooya.ai) and our mobile applications (PolyDrive, PolyFit and Rooya) (together, the “Services”).

Data Controller: Polysurance Limited, Lg.C, 34–35 Hatton Garden, London, United Kingdom, EC1N 8DX, Company No. 12456074.

This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more broadly how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website or use an app. They help the website or app recognise your device and improve your browsing experience.

Types of cookies we use

We use the following categories of cookies.

  • Strictly necessary cookies. These cookies are essential for the operation of our website or app. Without them, certain features may not function properly. Examples: login authentication, security features.
  • Analytics/performance cookies. These cookies collect information about how visitors use our website or app, such as which pages are most frequently visited. Purpose: to improve functionality and user experience. Examples: Google Analytics and Leadfeeder.
  • Functional cookies (if used). These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation, such as remembering your preferences (e.g. language or region). Purpose: to provide a more tailored experience.
  • Targeting/advertising cookies. These cookies recognise your browser across websites so that a visit can be matched to a known individual and shared with advertising partners. Purpose: to provide personalised marketing. Examples: Apollo.io and LiveIntent.
  • Third-party cookies. Some features and tools place cookies from third-party providers on your device. Examples: Google Analytics, Leadfeeder (Dealfront), Apollo.io, LiveIntent, and our consent platform CookieYes.

How we use cookies

We use cookies to:

  • Recognise returning users and streamline the login process.
  • Analyse user behaviour to improve website functionality and app performance.
  • Customise content and features based on user preferences.

Legal basis for using cookies

We use cookies in accordance with the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

  • Strictly necessary cookies: exempt from the consent requirement under PECR reg. 6(4), as they are necessary for the service you have requested.
  • Performance, functional, and (where used) targeting/advertising cookies: placed only on the basis of your consent.

Cookies we use

Cookie name Purpose Type Retention period
cookieyes-consent Records which cookie categories you have accepted or declined, so that we do not have to ask again on every page. Strictly necessary 1 year
_ga, _ga_M3XB7V6WT4 Google Analytics. Distinguishes one visitor from another and groups their pageviews into a single visit, so we can see how our pages are found and used. Analytics 2 years
_lfa Leadfeeder (Dealfront). Gives your browser an identifier so that repeat visits can be recognised and matched to an organisation. Analytics 1 year
_lfa_test_cookie_stored Written and immediately removed by Leadfeeder to check whether your browser accepts cookies at all. It stores no information about you. Analytics Less than a minute
_leadgenie_session Set by Apollo.io when a visit is reported to its tracking endpoint. It identifies that single exchange with the server. Advertising Session
X-CSRF-TOKEN Set by Apollo.io alongside the cookie above. It carries a security token that lets the provider verify its own requests came from this page. Advertising Session
__cf_bm Set by Cloudflare on Apollo.io’s behalf to tell automated traffic from real visitors. It reaches your device only because the Apollo.io tracker is loaded. Advertising 1 hour
_lc2_fpi, _lc2_fpi_js, _li_dcdm_c, _li_duid, _li_ss Set by LiveIntent, which the Apollo.io tracker loads. LiveIntent recognises a browser across websites so that a visit can be matched to a known individual, and shares that identifier with its partners. Advertising Set by the provider

The Apollo.io tracker itself does not set cookies — it stores its identifiers in your browser’s local storage instead. Local storage is treated the same way as cookies here: it is only written once you have given consent, and you can clear it through your browser settings.

Third-party services

We use third-party services to help us understand user behaviour. These services may set their own cookies, and we recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies:

  • Google Analytics — measures how our pages are found and used, so that we can improve them. Privacy policy
  • Leadfeeder (Dealfront) — identifies the organisations visiting our website, so that we can understand which sectors our content reaches. Privacy policy
  • Apollo.io — website visitor tracking, used to understand engagement with our pages. Privacy policy
  • CookieYes — records and honours your cookie choices. Privacy policy

Some of these providers are based outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where your data is transferred outside the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards as described in our Privacy Policy.

Cookie management

Managing your preferences

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings banner that appears when you visit our website. Our banner is provided by CookieYes. Once you have made your first choice, you can re-open it at any time using the small cookie button in the bottom-left corner of any page.

CookieYes stores your choice in a cookie on your device so that we do not have to ask you again on every page. That cookie is strictly necessary: it exists only to record and honour the preference you gave us.

Withdrawing consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time by re-opening the cookie settings banner from that same button and changing your selection. Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdrew it.

Browser settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through your browser settings. You can:

  • Block all cookies.
  • Delete existing cookies.
  • Set preferences for specific websites.

Opt-out of analytics

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in technology, law, or our business practices. Updates will be posted on this page, and significant changes will be communicated to you where feasible.
