Hunter role opening new UK mid-market sectors for Rooya’s AI vision telematics platform. Own your segments, build pipeline and close new ARR. London, hybrid.

About the role

You’ll lead Rooya’s move into new UK mid-market sectors. You’ll take the sectors and channels where we have early proof and turn them into repeatable business. You’ll sit in the UK Commercial Team with an SDR booking meetings into your accounts, and you’ll work closely with Customer Success, Product, Sales Engineering and Analytics, with direct access to leadership.

You’ll be measured on new ARR from the sectors and partnerships you own, on the quality of the pipeline you build, and on clean records in Pipedrive. You’ll also be judged on the playbook you leave behind for the team to run. You’ll report to and be coached by our Senior Director of Sales and Marketing. As the sectors you open grow, the role can grow into leading a sector or channel team, with a direct say in where Rooya goes next.

About you

You’re a hunter. You get a buzz from winning a new logo, and you’d rather build pipeline than wait for it. Give you a blank sheet and a sector and you’ll find the first ten conversations and the first customer. You care about the outcome too: safer drivers, safer roads and fewer collisions matter to you.
Day to day, you’re curious and organised. You go deep on how a business really runs: its routes, claims, compliance and where the real costs hide. You plan your week around pipeline, keep Pipedrive clean, and write things down so what you learn becomes messaging, a proof point or a play the team can use.
With customers, you sell on value, not features. Fleet operators have been burnt by point solutions, so you earn their trust by understanding their world and keeping your word. You build the business case, model the deal and know when to walk away. With colleagues, you’re a team player who shares what works and celebrates the team’s wins as much as your own. Under pressure, you stay calm and keep going. A lost deal or a quiet month makes you sharper, not slower.
You take feedback well and act on it. You ask for it after calls and deals, look at your own numbers honestly, and keep improving how you prospect, run discovery and close.

In this role, you will

  • Own two or three target sectors or channels from our focus list, end to end: research, messaging, pipeline and close
  • Deliver your quota of new ARR from the sectors and partnerships you own
  • Build your own pipeline through account mapping, cold calling and outbound, with an SDR booking meetings into your accounts
  • Run complex deals from first conversation with operators and executives through to signature, working with operations, finance and the board on the client side
  • Open partnerships with insurers, brokers, resellers and installers that bring in new fleets
  • Work with Customer Success, Product, Sales Engineering and Analytics to remove deal blockers, then land and grow the accounts you open
  • Test pricing, packaging and commercial models, and bring the results back to the business
  • Write the playbook for each sector: ICP, discovery questions, proof points, objection handling and sequences
  • Use Pipedrive, Surfe, Apollo and Claude every day for prospecting, enrichment and pipeline management, and keep your records clean and current

Minimum requirements

  • 3+ years in a full cycle B2B closing role in SaaS, IoT, telematics or fleet
  • A track record of finding new business yourself through self-sourcing and cold calling
  • A hunter background, with most of your wins coming from new logos
  • A consistent record of hitting and beating quota
  • Experience running complex mid-market deals with several stakeholders, from operations to finance and the board
  • You’ve opened a new segment, territory or channel from a standing start
  • A value-based selling approach, with a good grasp of pricing, margin and the business case
  • Based in the UK with the right to work here, able to be in our London office two or three days a week and to travel across the UK

An ideal candidate also has

  • Experience selling to fleet operators, or into transport, logistics, construction, waste or the public sector
  • Experience with formal buying processes, such as procurement teams, tenders or public sector frameworks
  • Experience qualifying deals with MEDDIC or a similar method
  • Contacts or partnerships with insurers, brokers, resellers or installers
  • Hands-on use of Pipedrive, Surfe, Apollo and Claude for prospecting, enrichment and pipeline management

What good looks like

  • Month 1: You’ve finished onboarding on our platform, our customers and how we sell. Your two or three target sectors are agreed, your first account maps are built, and your outbound sequences are live. You’ve had your first conversations with operators and booked your first discovery meetings.

  • Month 2: Your pipeline is building week on week from your own outreach and your SDR’s meetings. You’re running discovery and demos, and your first proposals and business cases are out with prospects. You’ve started at least one partner conversation with an insurer, broker, reseller or installer, and your first sector playbook is drafted.

  • Month 3 onward: You’re consistently hitting your new ARR quota and keeping enough pipeline to stay ahead of it. You’re closing new logos in your sectors, partners are bringing in fleets, and your playbooks are good enough for the rest of the team to run. Your Pipedrive records are clean and your forecast is one leadership can trust.

Rooya is an equal-opportunity employer. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of background.
